MT010LP and MT010UF Comparison

This photo shows the difference between the "UnderFloor" MT010UF and the "low Profile" MT010LP. Both can be bought with either lost wax brass or white metal frames. The "UF" truck is marginally lower and has a 15-1 gear ratio, but has a maximum weight restriction of forteen ounces. The "LP" version has no gear or weight restrictions, but is supplied with a 17-1 gear ratio to maintain a low profile. Either version can be mounted on the new Birney with very little modification of the body.

Q-Car Truck Installation Service

If you would like to have Q-Car do the installation we can mount the truck to the car for you. There is a $41.20 charge for this service. You must send the entire car to us. Please insure it for loss or damage.

If you operate from overhead you must change the way poles are mounted to this car. We will convert the pole mounting to a NMRA standard for $15.90. This Includes installation of trolley pole screws, and wiring the truck to those screws. It does not include trolley poles. These can be bought separately.

(Wiring for two rail is no extra charge, but NO pole mount modifications are made.)

The shipping charge for this service is $12.00 - it includes $200 worth of insurance.
